Romania play at the Arena Națională, a 55,000 seater stadium in Bucharest. Their best performance at a European Championships was when they progressed to the Quarterfinals in 2000. Romania made a scene in the 1998 World Cup when the whole squad decided to dye their blonde, apparently this was to help them see each other on the pitch. Some notable players include Gheorghe Hagi, Cristian Chivu and Vlad Chiricheș.
