Pelé is regarded to be the greatest player of all time. A world wide star renowned for his electrifying play and spectacular goals. He became known as "The Black Pearl" (A Pérola Negra), "The King of Football" (O Rei do Futebol), "The King Pelé" (O Rei Pelé) or simply "The King" (O Rei). Voted World Player of the Century, and receiving the FIFA Ballon d'Or Prix d'Honneur for recognition of his achievements as a global icon. Some say when you talk football, you talk Pele, since he was (According to the IFFHS) the most successful league goal scorer in the world, with 541 league goals. In total Pelé scored 1281 goals in 1363 games, including unofficial friendlies and tour games. Leading Brazil to World Cup victory 3 times (The only person ever to do so), as well as being Brazils all time leading goal scorer with 77 in 92 games. Now retired Pele has become a worldwide ambassador for the sport, and is consistently supporting and preserving the beautiful game for the next generation.
