Gianluigi "Gigi" Buffon (born 28 January 1978)
Gianluigi Buffon is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. He captains both Serie A club Juventus and the Italy national team. Buffon is regarded by fellow players and managers as one of the greatest 'keepers of all time, if not the best ever! Buffon started his professional career with Parma in 1995, where he was quickly promoted to first choice goalkeeper. Gianluigi Buffon joined Juventus in 2001 and immediately won the Serie A title and establishing himself as one to watch between the sticks. Buffon is also the most capped player in the history of the Italian national team.
On 6 July 2018, Buffon signed a one-year contract, with the option for a second year, with Paris Saint-Germain.

"Seventeen years in black and white end today. Seventeen years of friends, team-mates, tears, victories, trophies, words, anger, disappointments, happiness and many, many emotions. I will never forget anything. I will always carry everything with me."
