World Cup Serbia Football Shirts by Puma

Considered by FIFA and UEFA to be the successor of both the Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro national teams, Serbia has a long footballing history, playing their first international match in 1920. Playing as Yugoslavia, they competed in the 1930 World Cup tournament, finishing in third place. That has remained their highest finish at the tournament.

Serbia, or as it has been previously known (SFR Yugoslavia, FR Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro) has only featured in five UEFA European Championships, the first in 1960. Their highest finish was Runners-up, once in 1960 and again in 1968. Losing to the Soviet Union and Italy retrospectively.

Serbia Football Shirt Archive - A Visual History

Serbia play their home games at the Rajko Mitić Stadium, Belgrade. Serbia has played as an independent nation since 2006, previously play as Serbia and Montenegro and before that, Yugoslavia. Serbia's fiercest rivalry would be with neighbouring Country; Croatia. This stems from political roots and is listed as one of the top rivalries in International football.

Before Serbia became a team in their own right they played predominately in a blue shirt, white shorts and red socks. Since 2006, they have moved mainly to a red shirt, blue shorts and white socks kit. Serbia has produced many great footballers over the years, most going on to represent club teams at the highest levels of the game. Most notably: Branislav Ivanović, Dragan Stojković, Dejan Stanković and Nemanja Vidić.
