The Pharaohs are the most successful national team in Africa, winning the Africa Cup Of Nations a record 7 times and are one of only three African teams to enter the top 10 of the FIFA World Rankings. They were the first non-European or non-American team to qualify for the World Cup, however they have only ever reached the finals 3 times and have never won game in the summer tournament. In February they set the record for going 24 consecutive Africa Cup of Nations games without defeat, becoming the first team to win 3 consecutive titles - before defeat in the 2017 final.
