On June 5th 2003 at the age of 15, he became the youngest player to debut in the Argentine Primera Division. He came on as a 69th minute substitute for Independiente in their match against Club Atlético San Lorenzo de Almagro. A record that was previously held by the great Diego Maradona. Three years later, in 2006, he joined Atletico Madrid and quickly established himself as one of the best strikers in the game. In 2010 he was snapped up by Manchester City, for a fee in the region of £38 million. Sergio Agüero continues to shine and his goal tally continues to grow.
