VfB Stuttgart’s PUMA 2013/14 shirts are not too different to previous efforts, but the Swabians are hoping their form on the pitch is of a different standard.

Their league position was disappointing for Bruno Labbadia, although, they did make an appearance in the DFB Pokal final at the beginning of June against FC Bayern: and they made a pretty decent go of it, losing 3-2. The signings for Stuttgart have been encouraging ahead of 2013/14 with Stefan Reinartz, Marco Rojas from the A-League, Mo Abdellaoue from Hannover and BVB’s Moritz Leitner on a two-year loan deal.

Those extra options for Labbadia only bring more competition and more quality to a squad including the likes of Bosnian frontman Vedad Ibisevic and Romanian playmaker Alexandru Maxim who could be a ‘One to Watch’ for the new season. Stuttgart have had inconsistent success over recent years with Bundesliga championship wins in 1984, 1992 and 2007. In 2013/14, they will also compete in the UEFA Europa League after reaching the German Cup final.

The Stuttgart 2013/14 shirt has a similar red-stripe across the white PUMA shirt, sponsored by local car giants Mercedes-Benz. Maxim, tipped to be the next Gheorghe Hagi, is already creating a firm reputation among his supporters and the Maxim Stuttgart home kit will be a familiar sight in Swabia next season. Or if Ibisevic is the man to fire Stuttgart to championship, or European, glory next season, he’ll wear the traditional No.9 shirt in attack.

Stuttgart will have a lot to compete with in the Bundesliga next season, but their PUMA range for 2013/14 will get the thumbs up from their supporters.
