Authentic Borussia Munchengladbach Football Shirts by Kappa
Official Borussia MGB football shirts available for the current Bundesliga season.
It’s all-change on the Borussia Monchengladbach kit front with KAPPA in charge for 2013/14.
After an early UEFA Champions League elimination, die Fohlen responded to turn their season around in 2012/13 and got into the groove in the second half of the campaign. Lucien Favre blew millions of Dutchman Luuk de Jong, who failed to impress as the leading marksmen, which eventually hindered their push for a European spot in the Bundesliga’s half-century season.
Where goals had been the problem, Favre will hope Max Kruse is the solution. Gladbach’s Kruse 10 shirt will be the focal point of their attack on the Bundesliga next season, with the SC Freiburg forward joining for around £2m. Kruse had a fantastic year in the Black Forest, scoring 11 goals, securing Freiburg’s first venture into Europe since the mid-90s – and even earning a call-up to the German NT.
Kruse is joined by Brazilian forward Raffael who spent last season on-loan at Schalke 04 and signed for around £4m. Both players will be tasked with finding the net, along with de Jong and young midfielder Patrick Herrmann.
But one of the most notable changes will be the Puma-designed 2013/14 Gladbach shirts, moving from a simple all-white kit to include traditional black-and-green colours on the breast of the home kit in horizontal stripes. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but the lime green Borussia shirt is an improvement from 2012/13’s efforts and will brighten up Borussia-Park for next season.
Let’s see if Gladbach’s football matches the liveliness of their new kit design.
