This new striking Fulham 3rd shirt honors the club's all time greatest player, Johnny Haynes. The former England captain played for Fulham for 18 years, appearing 594 times and scoring 147 goals for the London club. Haynes was the first player to be paid £100 a week after the scrapping of the £20 a week maximum wage in 1961.He also played in 56 games for England scoring 18 goals in his international career. The most famous being the 9-3 win over Scotland in 1961, but, the 3-2 win over Italy in May of the same year was much more important to a team that aspired to win the World Cup. He was admired by many players including Pelé who has been quoted calling Haynes "the best passer of the ball I've ever seen".

Johnny Haynes sadly passed away in October 2008 aged 71. He will be remembered at Craven Cottage forever with a statue outside the re-named Johnny Haynes Stand. The number 10 shirt he wore was also retired from use at the club. This historic gold shirt features a sublimation of the commemorative statue honoring this Fulham legend.
